Yoga is one of the best ways to keep and improve flexibility and strength. Join us on Tuesday evenings to experience a Vinyasa style yoga class. The class will be gentle and slow moving during the beginning sessions and progress to a more rigorous practice once you have learned the poses. Each participant will progress at his or her own pace. No yoga background is necessary. This class is an opportunity for you to learn basic yoga poses or to improve your alignment if you have yoga experience. Please bring your yoga mat if you have one. Wear loose or stretchy clothing.

This class is structured for teenagers 13-18 years old. It will build confidence and knowledge about gym equipment. You will learn safe lifting technique, stretching, use of cardio equipment and gym safety. The instructor will also touch on nutrition and healthy life style choices. Participants will leave with a starter program to continue their workout. All participants will be entered into a draw to win 3 sessions with a personal trainer for a personalized program tailored to their needs

This course is for the advanced dancer who wishes to learn advanced technique, combinations and choreography. The professional instructor is Cheryl Bosley from Moose Jaw. There are limited spaces in this class. Contact Anne-Marie Ursan to register (693-6539) This is a six week course starting January 6th. Cost is 45.00 per student payable to Cheryl Bosley.(program is held at the YMCA downtown)

Runners are required to have at least 1 year running experience prior to attending. Instructed by an experienced marathoner and ultramathoner. Classes and hands-on experiences will assist you in fine-tuning your running skills through this progressive course. Phone the YMCA for more information
