Terms and Conditions

YMCA Hosted parties

Hosted parties are available for children ages 5-12 only.

Staff is available upon request for an additional $12.00 per hour of service. Staff person will facilitate games, activities, help in set up and take down and party clean up. FEE is for 12 children only, additional fees apply for any number over 12. A fee of $25.00 per child will apply if over 12 children attend the party without arrangements.
No space substitutions are available- you cannot take out the climbing and have additional gym time etc.

Staff responsibilities include: Helping set up, take down and clean up of your party
Organize and implement active gym games, sport wall activities, climbing wall activities, family fit zone (leading activities).

At least 1 parent/guardian is required to stay for the length of the party

Food and Beverages are permitted in YMCA spaces- The YMCA WILL NOT be providing or be responsible for food, beverages or cutlery

The facility is available for 2.5 hours. If you require additional time a $50.00 per hour fee will apply (includes use of all spaces available in the 2.5 hour pkg). If you require only a few spaces for additional hours you will be charged the room rental rate per room/space used. (IE- Gymnasium $20 per hour.) The 2.5 hours includes the set up and the take down time. Example: your party time is 12:30-3:00; 12:30-1:00 is set up time and 2:30-3:00 is clean up time.  If you arrive at 12:00 to set up your part you will be denied access until the start time of your party. Regardless if the space is booked or not-

Payment is due upon booking the space

NO refunds will be issued 7 days prior to the party date

A $10.00 administrative fee will apply if you cancel before the 7 days
You must also leave a visa, debit card or other form of payment as you will be charged $50.00 if the equipment does not come back in working order/good condition

Facility Rental/ No Staff Party Package

First time renters are required to come to the YMCA for a tour prior to the party. The YMCA staff will show you how to safely set up the Jolly Jump, and give a brief orientation of the gym space and location of equipment and how to safety use the sport wall.

All those who climb must complete a waiver form, which must be completed and submitted to the YMCA prior to climbing. The form is available on our website at www.moosejawymca.ca

Parents/Gaurdians/Supervisiors are responsible for booking the mandatory 15 min training session on the rock climbing wall. Must be completed prior to the party date

Parents/Gaurdians/Supervisiors are responsible for set up, take down and clean up of the space. This time is included in the 2.5 hours. Example: your party time is 12:30-3:00; 12:30-1:00 is set up time and 2:30-3:00 is clean up time.  If you arrive at 12:00 to set up your part you will be denied access until the start time of your party. Under no circumstance are other people allowed to sign the rock climbing waiver form on behalf of the parents- with or without verbal permission.
Parents/renters are required to leave the booked space after party completion and wait in the YMCA waiting areas for parents

You must leave a deposit such as a debit card, visa or other form or payment. If the equipment does not come back in good condition or it is missing you will be charged an additional $50.00
Refunds will not be issued 7 days prior to the scheduled party date.
Refunds are subject to a $10.00 administration fee at any point of cancellation

 

 

 

Party Booking Checklist

To help you stay organized when booking a party

Prior to the Party

 

1. Go the YMCA and book my party
2. Print the Climbing Wall waiver forms from the website at www.moosejawymc.ca
3. Give out the invitation also available on the YMCA website
4. Included the waiver form in the invitations
5. Book my short YMCA tour and orientation (if not hosted)
6. Go the YMCA for my tour and orientation (if not hosted)

 

Day of the party

 

1. Arrive to set up my party at my booked time
2. Pick up the equipment keys from the front desk
3. Hand in climbing waiver forms to the front desk
4. Have a great time
5. Clean up the party
1. Put tables and chairs away
2. Clean floor if necessary
3. Clean up all garbage
4. Lock up the equipment room
