STRIDE N’ RIDE
Drop-In
Session Dates: June 4- August 29, 2012
Mondays & Wednesdays: 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
Meet outside the Fairford center, class will walk as a group to Crescent Park.
Running shoes and a water bottle are required. 
No Classes July 2, 4, August 6, 8th 
Mom’s come join this summer outdoor exercise class.  Join us on Monday and Wednesday‘s with your stroller, as will take exercising outside with your child.  This class will incorporate the outdoor elements and resistance bands to improve your upper and lower body strength, core and cardio conditioning.  Join this class to meet new moms, enjoy the outdoors and workout without leaving baby behind.  This class is open to anyone who has a child that will sit in a stroller or carrier.  If weather is not ideal, class will be moved indoors. 

BUBBLES & BALLS (18-36 Months)

Session Dates: May 11 to June 15, 2012
Fridays: 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
Bubbles and Balls” is a program that combines ball play and bubble exploration.  Children will have the opportunity to enjoy time in the gym as well as exploring in an outdoor setting.

UNSTRUCTURED PLAY TIME (18-36 Months)
Drop-In
Session Dates: May 8 to June 12, 2012
Tuesdays: 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
Unstructured Play Time is a “come-and-go” program that allows you to bring your infant/toddler to a gymnasium setting which allows them the open freedom to move about in a different space.  Children are naturally curious and providing different environments for them will encourage them to move and explore their new surroundings.  Mats will be available, as well as balls and different toys.

LIL’ KICKERS (3-5 Years)
Session Dates: May 6 to June 17, 2012
Sundays: 2:00 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
“Lil Kickers” is a program, which is based around the fundamental skills of soccer.  Children will have the opportunity to begin to develop or build upon their skills of soccer.
           
LIL’ SWINGERS (3-5 Years)
Session Dates: May 6 to June 17, 2012
Sundays: 3:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
Lil’ Swingers is a program which is based around the fundamental skills of baseball.  Children will have the opportunity to begin to develop or build upon their skills of baseball.

PARACHUTE PLAY (3-5 Years)

Session Dates: May 10 to June 14, 2012
Sundays: 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Parachute Play is a program which invites the students to explore different activities with the parachute.  This program will help develop your child (ren)s gross motor skills through movement while participating in fun activities.

PLAY N READ
Join us for an afternoon exploring the wonderful world of books. Each session will have a theme using a book as the starting point to all activities. Children in the program will participate in a variety of activities as well as group interactions. Activities will include stories, songs, creative movement, craft and play. Parents are encouraged to join their children for each afternoon. At the end of the session, children will take home the book we have been using so they can build their home library. This program is presented in partnership with the Moose Jaw Literacy Network

PLAYTIME (0-5 YEARS)
Come and enjoy our facility with your young family. Play games, read books, make crafts, or just socialize and enjoy the play space. Children must be accompanied by and adult. Although the space is recommended for children 0 – 5 years of age, feel free to bring along older siblings. No registration is required for this free drop in time at the Strong Start Family Centre.

MUSIC WITH MUMMY
Session Dates: January 8  to May 31, 2012
This is a series of structured classes designed to introduce children 12 - 36 months of age to basic musical concepts in a fun and interactive way with their caregiver.  Each six week session will cover a different theme using both new material and traditional children's songs. The children will have the opportunity to play basic percussion instruments and have great fun leanring music and movement songs and rhymes.

PLAYGROUP (ages 0-5 years)
This play group is a drop in program for families with children aged 0-5. Members are free, however, non-members are asked to pay a $10.00 monthly fee that will give them access to any of the 4 session scheduled each week at the Fairford or Strong Start Family Centre locations (see schedule). Monday and Wednesday sessions re held that the Fairford location with a focus on gross motor skills and active play with children. Tuesday and Thursday sessions are held at the Strong Start Family Centre and focus on fine motor, literacy, and play skills. Built into each session is time for parents to create new friendships or discuss parenting.

FIT FOR TWO
Session 3: April 16 to May 30, 2012
Enjoy watching your baby wiggle and giggle as you tighten, tone and sweat.  This is a post- partum fitness class structured for you and your baby and/or toddler (up to 18 months) to exercise together.  Use your baby as your weight or enjoy watching them by your side as you complete a total body strengthening, core and cardio conditioning workout.  Enjoy learning new ways to interact with your baby, meet new moms and work towards reclaiming your pre-baby body!

JOLLY BABIES
Session 3: April 18 to May 23, 2012
This 30 minute music class is for babies from 0 - 12 months of age and their parent/caregiver.  These sessions offer a unique way of encouraging social skills and speech development in your infant as well as being an opportunity for bonding with your baby.

INFANT MASSAGE
Learn to massage your baby from a Certified Infant Massage Instructor in a fun, interactive class setting.  Over the course of 5 weeks you will learn to give your baby a full body massage.  Infant massage may help promote better sleep, relief from gas and constipation, and the pain of colic.  Classes are for newborns to crawling babies.  Bring a blanket to lay baby on.
