KICKIN & SWINGIN (6-8 Years)
Session Dates: May 10 to June 14, 2012
Thursdays: 6:00 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.
Kickin’ and Swingin’” is a program that teaches the children the fundamental skills of soccer and baseball.  This 6 week program will be broken into 3 weeks of soccer and 3 weeks of baseball

WILD WILDERNESS (6-8 Years)
Session Dates: May 10 to June 14, 2012
Thursdays: 4:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
Wild Wilderness” is a program that gives your child the opportunity to learn different things about the wilderness such as, animals, plants, how to keep our wilderness clean, etc.  This 6 week program will engage the children with a new concept each week.  They will be given the opportunity to explore this concept about the wilderness in our own “backyard.” (This program is heavily based outdoors, if weather is not permitting, we will do activities indoors).

UNSTRUCTURED GYM TIME (6-12 Years)

Wednesdays: 3:45 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
This is a drop-in time for children and youth ages 6-12 to come and have free-time as they explore different equipment provided.
TEAM PLAYERS (9-12 Years)
Session Dates: May 8 to June 112. 2012
Wednesdays: 4:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
Team Players” is a program that engages children in different low-organized games and activities each week.  The games and activities the children will engage in are all ones that encourage teamwork and cooperation.  This will help the children develop important skills which they can carry with them as they progress through school and organized sports.

MOOSE JAW MULTI-SPORT PROGRAM
Swimming, Cycling, and running are three of the most popular world-wide fitness sports for all ages. The popularity of triathlon for children and youth is also growing. This 10-week program will have children and youth swimming, running and biking!

Karla Terry, instructor, is qualified as a Trained Community Coach from Triathlon Canada which enables her to teach proper swim, cycle and run techniques.

Ages 8-15
No experience necessary

BEGINNER KNITTING
Ages 9 and up
Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

This is a free drop in program for those who want to learn how to knit, those who are stuck on a project, or those who want to meet others with a similar interest in knitting.  Bring along your needles and wool and Helen will get you going.

TAE KWON DO BEGINNER/ UNDER 12
Session Dates: January 8 to May 31, 2012
A Korean form of martial arts that helps to improve physical fitness, teaches self-defense, self-esteem, and self-discipline.  Must be between 7 - 12 years of age.  Exceptions will only be made at the discretion of the instructor.

Y GIRLS (9 - 12 yrs. old)
Session Dates: January 8 to May 31, 2012
This Girls Only program is designed to allow girls ages 9 - 12 to build friendships with their female peers.  The girls will participate in activities to build self-esteem, friendships, and healthy minds and bodies.

PLAYGROUP (ages 0-5 years)
This play group is a drop in program for families with children aged 0-5. Members are free, however, non-members are asked to pay a $10.00 monthly fee that will give them access to any of the 4 session scheduled each week at the Fairford or Strong Start Family Centre locations (see schedule). Monday and Wednesday sessions re held that the Fairford location with a focus on gross motor skills and active play with children. Tuesday and Thursday sessions are held at the Strong Start Family Centre and focus on fine motor, literacy, and play skills. Built into each session is time for parents to create new friendships or discuss parenting.

9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the SSFC Location – 679 Hall St. W

PLAYTIME (0-5 YEARS)
Come and enjoy our facility with your young family. Play games, read books, make crafts, or just socialize and enjoy the playspace.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Although recommended for chldren 0 - 5 years of age, feel free to bring along older siblings.  No registration is required for this drop-in time at the Strong Start Family Centre.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
